DEATH NOTE AMERICAN REMAKE?!

OMG! I'm a freaking fan of the anime and Manga as you know. The live action movies in Jap werent taht bad. But i was dissapointed that they didnt stick to the actual story line and the ending was so anti-climatic. BUT NOW....Official info from Tokyograph:


"American movie studio Vertigo Entertainment is apparently working on a remake of the popular franchise “Death Note,” which has been turned into three live-action films in Japan. The news was quietly revealed in production notes for the horror films “Shutter” and “The Strangers.”

According to the notes, Vlas and Charles Parlapanides have been tapped to pen the screenplay. They are currently writing for the upcoming TV series “Undercover” on The CW.

No other details have been revealed at this point."

Oh my gawd....Also there have been rumors about the cast. one of the most common being that LIGHT YAGAMI (omgomgomg!!!!) will be played by ZAC EFRON!



NO FREAKING WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay I dont really like Zac but he sorta looks like light. But i seriously doubt that he'll be able to pull of the role. I mean light's devious and smart and everything and i dont think Zac can handle that role. BUT in the event that he does pull it off...I swear i'll freaking bow to him.

Other than that i'm praying that they dont change the names of the characters and that at least they keep the location in japan and not america. I'm praying that they dont destroy my fave anime like they did to dragonball (The movie sucks...seriously)

Apparently it comes out in 2010/2011. I'm gonna keep an eye out for more news.
